The key to sending a card that wows is coming up with new and fresh ideas. Let's face it, no matter how perfect the photograph may be...how many families on black backgrounds can you look at in one year? Want to send a card that ends up on everyone's mantle? Here's a few creative suggestions.
1. Coordinate your clothing.
2. Keep the clothing casual and comfortable.
3. Schedule the session around an activity. You are going to be decorating the tree and baking cookies anyway, why not schedule the photographer to come during that time and capture a family tradition? You'll be in your home, in cute comfy clothing, and having a good ole' time with your kiddos. It's the perfect photo op! It may take a little more planning to come up with a perfect "set", but will really pay off in the end. Other fun activity sessions could include a Candyland gingerbread house contest, Santa visiting you in your home, meeting the photographer at a local park that offers train rides for a Polar Express day out, OR if weather permits, a fun day in the snow, sledding, hot chocolate, ice skating, etc.
